Terms of Service
Scoopin’ Paws is an independently owned and operated business (“we,” “us,” or “our”) that offers pet-waste removal services to residential, business, and commercial properties. By engaging our services (“Services”), you agree to the following terms of service (“Terms”), which govern the provision of our Services. Your acceptance of the Services constitutes your agreement to these Terms.
You acknowledge that our ability to perform the Services may be affected by factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions, the height of the grass, accessibility to your yard (which is your responsibility), and other unforeseen external factors.
DOG WASTE REMOVAL SERVICE
Scoopin’ Paws will visit your home to remove dog waste at the frequency you select—twice a week, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or a one-time cleanup. Pricing is based on a backyard size of up to 1/8 acre. For larger yards, additional charges will apply based on the size.
Accessing the yard
It is your responsibility to ensure Scoopin’ Paws has access to the area needing cleanup and that aggressive dogs are not present in the yard. Many customers use padlocks with combinations and share the code with us so we can securely access and lock the yard when leaving. Alternatively, you can provide us with a key, garage/gate code, or leave the gate unlocked.
If we are unable to access your yard due to a locked, block, or frozen gate or an aggressive dog, we will skip the visit for that week and resume service on your next scheduled visit. If the client requests that we come back a $10 fee will be added to the customer’s bill.
Note: If our staff has not met your dogs before and you are home, please inform the technician in advance if you plan to let the dogs out for an introduction. This helps ensure a smooth interaction and avoids any surprises!
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Scoopin’ Paws operates in rain and cold weather as long as it is safe to do so. However, we cannot work during severe thunderstorms, flooding, extremes in temperature or significant snow accumulation. Please note that Scoopin’ Paws is a MONTHLY subscription service, and we do not issue refunds for missed weeks due to weather. Any missed cleanup will be handled during your next scheduled visit, and we will remove all accumulated waste from prior weeks at that time.
If you require an additional cleanup before your next scheduled service, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on our availability. However, we cannot guarantee service outside the regular schedule. To protect your yard, we may also skip service if conditions are excessively muddy, waiting until your next visit when the ground has dried.
Holidays:
Scoopin’ Paws observes holidays on 4th of July, Tuesday through Friday of Thanksgiving week and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If your service day falls on one of these nine days, your cleanup will be skipped and resumed at your next scheduled visit. No refunds will be issued for missed holiday cleanups.
For biweekly service, please note that if we must skip a visit due to snow, a holiday, or other circumstances, there may be a four-week gap between cleanups. We recommend weekly service to avoid longer intervals between visits. Regardless of delays, all accumulated waste will still be cleaned during your next visit.
Parking
Scoopin’ Paws will park on the street in front of the client’s address whenever possible. The driveway will only be used if street parking is deemed unsafe or if the property is located a significant distance from the road.
LEAVES, DEBRIS AND TALL GRASS
We always strive to clean your yard thoroughly. We understand that maintaining your yard can be challenging, and it may not always be in ideal condition. Please keep in mind that locating dog waste can be difficult in tall grass or a yard with leaves or other debris. If the grass is tall during our visit, you may find some waste we missed after the yard is mowed or cleared.
We’ll address it during our next scheduled visit, especially once yard maintenance is complete. If you discover an excessive amount of waste we missed, please let us know right away, and we’ll take care of it promptly.
BILLING
Payments are processed through our client portal. If you didn’t sign up using the instant quote button on our website, we will create an account for you after your conversation with a Scoopin’ Paws representative. Your login details will then be emailed to you. The signup process is quick and takes less than two minutes.
Within your client portal, you’ll have access to copies of all paid invoices, records of past cleanups, and the ability to securely link your credit or debit card. Once your card is linked, we will automatically generate and process invoices on your behalf, and you’ll receive receipts for each payment.
Note:
Your card must be linked to your account before our team arrives at your home. If your card is not linked by then, we will attempt to contact you and knock on your door. If we are unable to reach you, your cleanup will be rescheduled for the next available date, which could be several weeks away depending on the season. If you need assistance linking your card, feel free to call us at (570) 419-2721, and we’ll be happy to help over the phone.
If payment is not received before your first scheduled cleanup of the month, your service will be paused, and you will be removed from the schedule until payment is processed. Monthly service fees are non-refundable. However, if you decide to cancel, we are happy to continue providing cleanups for the remainder of the month if desired.
Scoopin’ Paws uses the information we collect to operate our business, evaluate performance, and maintain our commitment to 5-star service. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you consent to Scoopin’ Paws using this information for advertising and marketing purposes. This may include sending promotional communications, delivering targeted advertisements, and providing relevant offers.
